Morocco Group Tour For Women Highlights
5    Destinations

We will land at Marrakesh and after exploring this incredible city, our tour leads us into the Sahara with a stop over at Dades Valley before spending a night in a glamorous safari tent in the Sahara. After watching the sunrise in the Sahara we will make our way to Essaouira for 2 nights and as this is a long journey, we will spend the night at Ksar Ait Ben Haddou enroute.

9   Nights

This adventure includes 3 nights in Marrakesh, 1 night in Dades Valley, 1 night in Merzouga, 1 night in Ksar Ait Ben Haddou with 2 nights spent in the picturesque port village of Essaouira. We will have one final evening in Marrakesh before our flight back home.

  Activities

This is a bucket list destination for most and as a result have aimed to include as much as possible. A guided tour of the medina in Marrakesh to practice your haggling skills. We recognise that everyone has different interests and therefore included a choice of excursions in Marrakesh: either a day trip to the waterfalls or a day trip to Casablanca or for those that dont long like journeys, a hop on hop off bus ticket to explore Marrakesh on your on.

All   Transfers

Once you land in Marrakesh all transfers are included. You will be collected from the airport for check in at your Riad. To enjoy a night in the Sahara, unfortunately this is a long coach journey and therefore we break the journey up with a night in Dades Valley. We will enjoy a camel ride into the Sahara when we arrive at Merzouga. We will continue our coach journey to Essaouira and on our final evening spent in Marrakesh.

Overview

Discover Morocco’s exotic sights and fiery flavors, ancient walled cities and Sahara desert. Experience the bustling and colourful markets of Marrakesh to camel rides across the Sahara desert, ending off with an ocean stay in Essaouira. Join us to journey through Morocco on this 9 night group tour with like minded women, an unforgettable and memorable experience in North Africa. For those that have 3 extra nights and a tad more adventurous and fit, an optional excursion can be added on to summit Mt Toubkal, North Africa’s highest mountain.

Please bear in mind before booking, this tour has been specifically designed to stay in authentic guesthouses (Riads) and as a result may be smaller and darker compared to USA and European guesthouses. This is not a luxury tour which the price reflects. Careful consideration has still been given to which riads we are staying in, however it is important that this is understood to manage expectations. My aim is to give back to the locally owned riads as opposed to staying in a branded 5* resort.

A rooftop dinner at a restaurant of your choice, overlooking the very lively and busy nightlife of the Jemaa el Fna is highly recommended!

Day 3 – Excursion of your Choice

We recognise that everyone has different interests and fitness levels. A choice of either a day trip to Casablanca which is the largest city in the Maghreb region and the eighth-largest in the Arab world. Casablanca has Morocco’s chief port and one of the largest financial centres in Africa. Alternatively a day trip to see Ouzoud Waterfalls where you will have independent time at the falls where you’ll be free to hike, explore, or just relax in a river-side café. However, if you wish to remain in Marrakesh enjoy the sites of the city to explore independently with the hop on hop off bus

After breakfast, depart to Dades Gorge, crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka high Atlas Mountain pass. Traditional lunch in Ouarzazate (at own expense). On the road of 1,000 Kasbah, short stop at a local women’s rose oil co-operative in the Valley of Roses – el Kelaa M’Gouna. Continue to Dades Valley, the accommodation is limited in the desert and as a result this is a basic guesthouse

After lunch, short guided walk through the magnificent orange limestone cliffs of the narrow gorge. Upon arrival at the desert town of Merzouga, embark on a memorable 1.5-hour sunset camel ride into the orange desert dunes to your luxury desert camp, including a 30 minutes sunset stop on the top of a high dune, ideal for memorable photo sessions! Enjoy a traditional dinner with ethnic (traditional North-African) drumming, singing and dancing around the fire. Overnight in Merzouga desert at Luxury Desert Camp

Day 6 – Merzouga to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou

After breakfast, depart to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO world heritage site) through Rissani, Tazzarine and Agdz. Local lunch along the way (own expense). Upon arrival at Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, check into your riad and relax for the rest of late afternoon. Please note as we are in the desert, the accommodation is basic.

Day 7 – Head to Essaouria

After breakfast, depart to the windy, happy and laid-back Atlantic city of Essaouira by crossing the stunning and scenic Tizi n’Tichka high Atlas Mountain pass. Lunch along the way. Stop at a local women’s argan oil co-operative for a traditional argan oil-making demonstration and opportunity to buy organic argan products. Late afternoon arrival in Essaouira, check into your authentic riad with dinner at a restaurant of your choice in the medina (at own expense).

Day 8 – Day exploring Essaouira

After breakfast, half-day guided tour with a local guide, exploring the ancient fishing harbour with its iconic blue fishing boats, old fortress city walls and La Scala port, rampants and old blue and yellow medina. Lunch is recommended at one of the harbour seafood eateries, serving fresh seafood bought straight from the fishing boats. Free time rest of the afternoon to relax and explore at leisure.

We will enjoy a group farewell dinner this evening. Whilst we still have one more evening to enjoy in Marrakesh, the decision was made to enjoy our farewell dinner in this beautiful port.

Day 9 – Head back to Marrakech

After breakfast, free time till lunch to explore the medina and beach areas, rent 4-wheelers or a camel to walk the beach, or visit the iconic Jimmy Hendricks Cafe. Lunch at a restaurant of your choice (own expense). After lunch, depart back to Marrakech, dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

After breakfast transfer to the airport. Alternatively, if you wish to join us for the 3 day hike up Mt Toubkal, our adventure continues.

Day 10 – Marrakech to Imlil / Mount Toubkal

Bring a small backpack for your hike and we will be accompanied by an English speaking experienced guide.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Is my money protected?

Yes, and you will never lose your money. We also offer 1 free date change before 60 days of your departure date.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course, if you book separately, just let us know you want to share a room. Equally, our adventures are designed as solo trips, so the majority of our travelers will not know each other at the beginning, however we know true friendships will be formed by the end.

I don’t know anyone else on the group travelling and I am a shy person

We all understand that feeling of being out of your comfort zone and meeting new people for the first time, but don’t forget that everyone you meet on the other side will be in the same position as you. We will add all of our travellers for one trip into a Whatsapp group for you to all ask each other questions and get to know each other before setting off. You will most certainly meet friends for life on your trip because you will all have at least one thing in common… You’re stepping outside your comfort zones and getting out there to see the world!

If we still haven’t answered your question, please fill in the question here (contact us form) or speak to us on the chat button now

Where is the adventure ?

Fly from your local airport to Marrakech at your own expense. If you need assistance with flights we are happy to help. Fly into and out of Marrakech. If you wish to continue your adventure solo to Agadir or Casablanca, again we can assist with that and you can choose to fly out of those cities

How Fit Do I need to be?

For the 9 night tour, this isnt a difficult tour in relation to fitness. The walking tours will be leisurely.
For the optional hiking tour, a good level of fitness is required, sufficient to hike up a mountain for 5 hours. If you can hike up Snowdonia two days in a row, that is the level of fitness required.

Which currency must I bring?

You cannot purchase Durhams outside of Morocco, therefore they will be purchased inside the airport

What type of accommodation is included?

The accommodation is in authentic riads which might be dark and small. The guesthouses in the desert are basic.
The standard of accommodation reflects the price and is not in luxury accommodation

Who will I share a room with?

You will more than likely be sharing a room with one or more other Seek adventurers as our accommodation is a mixture of twin, triple or multi-share. The beds will be a mixture of single and double beds and in our experience women are normally happy sharing a double bed. This is so that not only can we keep the cost down for you, but also to provide you with the opportunity of building strong friendships with people that you would not usually cross paths with in your everyday life.

I’ve just returned from the Morocco Group Tour For Women with Tide and Seek Travel, and I’m absolutely elated. As a solo female traveler, it can sometimes be daunting to venture out alone, but this tour provided the perfect balance of adventure, security, and camaraderie. Journeying through Morocco’s enchanting landscapes, bustling souks, and tranquil deserts with a group of empowering women was an experience like no other. Every detail was impeccably curated, making it an ideal getaway for solo travelers like me. My heartfelt thanks to Tide and Seek for crafting such an immersive and supportive experience. A must-try for every solo female traveler!

Come and join us for a spectacular break on the Gower in West Wales. Have you always yearned to stay in a bell tent with spectacular scenery to wake up to but can’t afford to stay in a tent on your own? Or equally, you don’t want to experience a once in a lifetime adventure on your own? If so, we have the perfect UK holiday for you to enjoy. This trip combines breathtaking views, endless sandy beaches, spectacular walks, mouthwatering cuisine, all whilst sharing the experience with fellow like minded female travellers. The Gower Peninsular is on our doorstep and we have created an amazing adventure for you to share in the spectacular scenery that we have the pleasure of exploring whenever we can. The Gower is one of the UK’s best gems. It is home to beaches that are frequently voted as the best in Europe, with Rhosilli bay winning Wales’ Best Beach 2017, UK’s Top 10 Beaches (Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Awards), and has even made it into the running of Top 10 beaches in the world! Rhosilli Bay is referred to as ‘the supermodel of British Beaches’ and has won accolades such as the ‘UK’s Best Picnic Spot’. It’s a haven for wildlife too with many different breeds of bird nesting in the cliffs – so don’t forget your binoculars. This breathtaking beach alone will make your whole trip worth your visit. The Gower Peninsula was awarded the UKs first ever award of Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area was given the prestigious title back in 1956 and has not changed much since. It received the distinguished award due to its miles of glittering coastline, stunning beaches, sandy bays and fascinating cave formations. Views from high points in the peninsula are truly amazing, which is what makes the area such a great location for memorable holidays in Wales.  Worms Head, which is an attraction on one of our days, is not only a landmark feature and hugely popular Welsh tourist attraction but it’s also a mile-long stretch believed to be one of the most breath-taking and most photographed sunsets across the globe. So much so, it has been voted the 7th best sunset in the world.
