Who Should Travel? Everyone of Course!

People often associate travel with giving up your responsibilities. Or being a massive commitment. I have often heard people say that they wish they did what I did at my age. Or they wish they travelled more, or saw more of the world, or said yes more. But it is never too late. There is no specific binary for a traveller, nor is there a rigid definition of what you must do. Travelling, particularly solo, can answer questions for you at any and every stage of your life.

Travelling as a young adult

This is the perfect time to discover your passions and what you truly like. It will help you grow and develop as you interact with people from different cultures and walks of life. Travelling in your late teens will help you develop your independence and learn how to be responsible for yourself, and your belongings.

Travelling in your 20s

This is the age where you don’t have as many responsibilities, but you are able to make better decisions. One half of your friends will be settling down, while the other half will be acting like you did in your teens. There is no blueprint to follow. Travelling now will help you gain perspective and break the binary of the first two decades of your life.

Travelling in your 30s

Big decisions are made in your 30s regarding your personal life, career and friendships. You probably have more money and are wiser in your decisions, yet still have the desire to have fun. You are more comfortable in yourself, yet you can still learn infinite things about how you act and react to certain situations.

Travelling in your 40s

You have spent a lot of time devoted to someone or something else. Whether it is your partner, children, or career it is time to do something for you. You deserve to have a break that is based entirely on your own terms. Again, there is always space to learn something about yourself and this can be the catalyst for you to make any big changes you didn’t even know you needed.

Travelling in your 50s

Now is the time to redefine who you are. Do you look at those younger than you and yearn for their freedom and ability to try new things? It is never too late for you to discover the world, and the benefits of travelling. Even if you were to travel by yourself, meet a new group of women on one of our tours or take your bestie on a weekend away, it’s time to break your habits.

Travelling at age 60+

What have you got to lose? Now is the time to truly let loose and do the things you always wanted. Dessert for breakfast, staying up until the sunrise, feeling the sand in your toes. There is a whole world of experiences for you to discover and now is the time to start. Make a list of things you have always wanted to do, and start making your way through it!

No matter what age you are, the world is yours to explore.
