Meet your Group Leaders

ABOUT US

Dare to explore with Tide and Seek Travel

Traveling on a group tour can be one of the most exciting ways to experience a once in a lifetime trip and all of our adventures have been created by us with the female solo traveler in mind. Holidaying by yourself does not have to mean traveling alone.
We are different from other operators as we are a small business owned and run by a mother and her 3 daughters who have traveled extensively and want to make bucket list adventures available to you. Every trip we have available we have traveled ourselves, making your experience truly unique and hand picked.

As we understand group dynamics, we help you decide which trip is best for you. Let’s be honest, whilst we love traveling with Mum, we know she won’t enjoy a week drinking with a bunch of 18-25 year olds in Zante. Equally, we don’t want to be with her on a yoga retreat in Portugal. We have thought carefully about our itineraries and whilst there of course can be crossovers, we are happy to assist you in choosing the correct holiday for you, taking care of everything and all you have to do is pack and turn up.
All our adventures come with English-speaking guides and our experts will share advice on everything from visas to packing tips.

MEET YOUR REAL TOUR LEADERS

Who Are We
We are a single mum and 3 daughters living in South Wales with one shared dream – to help other females live their best lives through travel. Mum is a born and bred South African and as a result we have been travelling together to South Africa since we all came out of the womb. Mum’s determination to ensure that we didn’t miss a family Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere ignited a love for travel in all of us, leading to us exploring all four corners of the globe. Each time either of us have travelled solo we are guaranteed to receive comments along the lines of ‘you’re so crazy, I could never do that,’ ‘wow that’s so brave,’ ‘how do you know where to go, what to do, that you’ll be safe?’ We understand that it is a scary experience, travelling alone in an unknown place, and so our mission is to provide the opportunity for individuals who have never been able to take the final leap into booking their dream trip themselves. Our purpose is to share the joy of travelling and to start ticking off those bucket list destinations!
Meet Your Seek Leaders
shareen
Shareen
The Muma Bear of the family has been to more countries than anyone else we know, leading to her Dad labelling her a nomad. Shareen has a Masters in Law and her own Events Management company, but she has never let work get in the way of catching that flight. Before Zoom took the world by storm, Shareen flew to Sydney for a 1 hour meeting, and at 6 months pregnant with Amie, climbed through the Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam…who does that?! From walking the Camino De Santiago (alone) to Great White Shark diving in Cape Town (alone), Shareen has a wealth of knowledge and experience in organising travel. All of Shareen’s friends know that she will see a destination she wants to visit, and within an hour her flight is booked and a whole itinerary planned. This is where the idea for Tide and Seek Travel came from, organising and planning itineraries to help women feel confident in travelling and to actually start ticking destinations off their bucket list.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn is the eldest daughter and is currently working towards qualifying as a solicitor. It is common for Caitlyn to have a destination in mind, but end up in the ‘non-tourist’ end of the Country due to booking the cheapest flight possible. Caitlyn’s best adventure was to Ecuador solo where she worked on a Youth Community Project before heading to the Galapagos but is also very fond of long-weekend European city breaks.

Amie is in Sydney for female travel groups
Amie

Amie is the middle child and is never in the same place long. She has a Masters in International Development, specialising in the environment and climate change. Her passion for the relationship between humans and the environment has led her to small countries all over the world. Amie’s best adventure so far was working in Fiji, diving with sharks every day and showering in rain water. Amie has recently completed her Dive Masters in Honduras. Following that she met Shareen in Mexico to experience the amazing Day of the Dead in Mexico…. watch this space for an incredible trip we are working on to experience the same. Following Mexico, Amie flew out with Shareen to meet Olivia to spend Christmas in Bali and New Year in the Philippines, an amazing two month adventure. Following their goodbyes, Amie is currently in Sydney on a 2 year working visa.

Olivia
Olivia has a degree in biomedical sciences and quickly decided that she did not want to work a 9-5 and set off with a one-way ticket to Thailand. Since leaving rainy Wales 8 months ago, Olivia has enjoyed the full moon party in Ko Phanagn, fed the elephants in Chiang Mia, completed her padi in Ko Toa, seen orangutans in Borneo, had a cocktail up the Mirena Bay Sands in Singapore, to name a few of her highlights since her journey began. Olivia is currently in Bali researching new trips for Tide and Seek Travel so watch this space.
