The Ultimate 30+ Ladies Travel Group

A once in a lifetime trip exploring some of the most magical islands in the world!

Overview

Looking for the ultimate getaway catered for ladies 30 +, a food and wine escape or an adventure in the great outdoors? Croatia has it all with its beautiful coastlines, stunning lakes and forests, fascinating history, fantastic wine and delicious cuisine. Dubbed the land of 1000 islands, Croatia has so many islands that it can take years to visit them all.

Seek Croatia is the perfect ‘Split’ between culture, relaxing and sightseeing. We have carefully curated the 11 nights to ensure you see the very best of Croatia and incorporating Montenegro whilst making friends that will last a lifetime. We will start our travels in the famous Dubrovnik, soaking in the history and culture with an added excursion to Montenegro before heading to Hvar to relax on stunning beaches with crystal clear water. We end the trip in Split where you will have ample opportunity to wander through the elegant courtyards and maze-like alleyway admiring the impressive architecture with an added day trip to the beautiful island of Brac.

We can assure you that this exact trip has been taken on more than a few occasions by your Seek Leader as we all love Croatia so much!

Hvar is the most lively of all the Croatian islands, famous worldwide for its crystal clear blue water, incredible sunsets and picture perfect old towns – all within a lush Mediterranean setting! It’s the kind of place where you can walk to an Ancient Fortress for sunrise and then spend the rest of the day relaxing by the yacht-filled Riviera, pretty pebbled beach or even vineyard – this island is full of interesting and magical moments. You won’t want to leave!

After sunning, drinking and chilling in Hvar we head to Croatia’s second largest city which is situated on the Dalmatian coastline. Although it boasts an urban area, Split is primarily known for its wealth of stunning architecture and antiquities. The abundance of Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic-style palaces, medieval forts and 12th century Romanesque churches instantly transports you back in time.

As you stroll through the historic heart of Split’s old town, you’ll eventually reach its most iconic landmark. Diocletian’s Palace is one of the best-preserved Roman remains in the world, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through the elegant courtyards and maze-like alleyway admiring the impressive architecture.

Our Seek Croatia Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive into Dubrovnik and get acquainted with your fellow adventurers followed by dinner

You will fly into Dubrovnik airport where you will make your way to the accomodation.Your Seek Leader will give you extensive instructions and guidance on how to make your way to the accommodation. We will advise whether there will be other Seek Adventurers arriving on your flight so you can make your way together to save on costs. Your Seek Leader will meet you at the accommodation where you will check in. Once everyone has arrived we will head into Dubrovnik for our welcome drink followed by an amble in this picturesque setting. With the Old Town oozing romance, simply strolling the smooth cobblestone streets and getting lost in the narrow alleyways, is something you’ll have to do while in this gorgeous town. After a couple of hours strolling, we will head to dinner in an idyllic setting.

Day 2 – See the incredible views of Dubrovnik from the cable car

This morning we will head up the famous Dubrovnik Cable Car. The best views of Dubrovnik and the surrounding area are, without a doubt, experienced from the top of the Srd Hill. The Dubrovnik Cable Car was built back in 1969 and was enthusiastically used by millions of visitors who wanted to enjoy the most beautiful panoramic views. On a clear day, you can see up to 37 miles. If you didn’t have time for breakfast, indulge yourself with a coffee and toastie in the Panorama Restaurant which is located at the upper Cable Car station. The restaurant has a magnificent and breathtaking view of the entire town and the surrounding sea and islands and offers snacks and drinks.

In the afternoon, your adventure includes entrance to the walls of Dubrovnik. Spend the afternoon discovering Dubrovnik’s crowning jewels — its medieval walls and UNESCO World Heritage–listed Old Town. Stroll along the Stradun, the Old Town’s main promenade, topped and tailed by Orlando’s Column and Onofrio’s Fountain. Take in ancient landmarks such as the Franciscan Monastery and the Church of St Blaise before deviating down side streets lined with shops, restaurants and further architectural delights. Finish with a walk along the city walls for sweeping views of the Adriatic Sea.

In the evening we will all reconvene for a group local dinner directly by the West entrance to the Old Town centre, in a unique location that offers stunning views of the fortresses Lovrijenac, Bokar and Minčeta, under the tree tops of centennial plane trees.

Day 3 – Day trip to Montenegro – Don’t forget your passport

Explore Montenegro on a day trip from Dubrovnik (dont forget to bring your passport). Enjoy free time in the picturesque towns of Kotor, Perast, and Budva, and embark on a sightseeing ferry across the Boka Kotorska Bay.
Departing from Dubrovnik in the morning, enjoy the sights of the Old Town and its surroundings while driving through the beautiful Župa Dubrovačka and the Konavle region. After crossing the Montenegro border, continue along the picturesque Montenegro coast.

During the drive through Boka Kotorska Bay, stop at the charming town of Perast. Have the option of visiting the island of Our Lady of the Rocks (additional cost). During the drive, your host will tell you all about Montenegro’s most important cultural monuments, and about the country’s history and legends.

Upon arrival at Kotor, enjoy free time to explore on your own. The town of Kotor is famous for its nautical tradition, famous commercial fleet, and imposing city walls. After sightseeing, proceed towards Budva.

Once at Budva, enjoy another sightseeing tour and free time. Budva is famous for its old city core and beautiful clean sandy beaches. It is a key tourist center of Montenegro.
From Budva, return to Dubrovnik in the afternoon, including a ferry drive across the Boka Kotorska Bay.

Day 4 – Explore the museums of Dubrovnik at your leisure

Today is your day to explore at your leisure the museums of Dubrovnik. Entrance tickets are included for Dulcic Masle Pulitika Gallery, Maritime Museum, Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik, The Rupe Museum, Natural history museum, House of Marin Drzic, The Franciscan Church and Monastery, Vlaho Bukovac House. If museums aren’t your thing, spend the day relaxing with a book on one of the scenic beaches or alternatively treat yourself to a spa day.

Day 5 – Head to Hvar

Enjoy some free time to explore some of those hidden beaches or catch up on your sleep, the morning is yours to spend how you wish. In the afternoon we will head to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to Hvar.
If you’re coming to Hvar expecting long, white sandy beaches like those on Menorca or Sardinia, you’re going to be disappointed – the bulk of Hvar’s beaches, like most of Croatia, are made up of large stone beaches and rocky coves.
But what Hvar lacks in sand, it makes up for in the clearest blue waters, hidden coves, and vast natural beauty. Fortunately, this means it doesn’t take much to find a perfect spot in which to enjoy the salty waters of the Adriatic, and the best beaches on Hvar can be found scattered all across the island.
After checking in, time to get acquainted with the gorgeous island and head out exploring. We will meet for a group dinner overlooking the port.

Day 6 – Hike up the Hvar fortress followed by dinner at the famous Hula Hula Bar

After a leisurely morning, in the afternoon we will hike up to the Hvar fortress for the spectacular views. Looming high above the town, this medieval castle occupies the site of an ancient Illyrian settlement dating from before 500 BC. The views looking down over Hvar and the Pakleni Islands are magnificent, and well worth the trudge up through the old-town streets. Once you clear the town walls it’s a gently sloping meander up the tree-shaded hillside to the fortress – for those that don’t want to walk, an optional taxi could be caught for approximately £12.

In the evening, it is time to enjoy a cocktail, dinner and watch the sunset at the Insta famous Hula Hula bar. This is the place for in-the-know locals up for daytime partying and après-beach relaxing. The spot is a short walk round the coast on a reasonably isolated jut of coastland called Majerovića. The decor is Bali-meets-Adriatic with comfy wooden recliners, fringed umbrellas and a wooden bar. The owner, Wolf, has lived all over the world and has brought his own concepts to Hvar. While lounging with a Pina Coloda or Margarita, listening to the soulful tunes and watching the sunset in one of the few spots in town where it actually disappears into the sea, we will indulge in a meal from the bar’s adjoining sister bistro, Bubba Gump – salads, Thai curry or big snacks.

Day 7 – Pakleni boat trip

Set sail from Hvar on a full-day island-hopping cruise and discover the natural wonders of Croatia’s Adriatic Coast. Admire the Green Cave and the Blue Cave (own expense £20), cool off with a swim in Stiniva Bay, visit the beaches of Vis Island, and enjoy free time for swimming and lunch on the Pakleni islands. The evening will be free to enjoy the area, taste local food and relax after a busy day island hopping.

Day 8 – Relaxation Day

Today is yours! You can either head to Carpe Diem Beach for the day, where we can assist with the booking of sun loungers or if you prefer further sightseeing, a day out to Stari Grad for lunch. You will have had a busy few days so it’s important to take the time to rest and enjoy your holiday, you’ve deserved it!

Day 9 – Make our way to Split

We say farewell to this incredible island and head via local ferry to the second most famous city in Croatia, Split. The stunning seaside city of Split is the perfect destination to spend our last few days and nights in Croatia. The beautiful and increasingly popular resort has a unique vibe, 1700 years of history, and unlimited recreational options for you to explore.

After an afternoon of sightseeing at your leisure in Split, enjoy a group dinner in the old town of Split.

Day 10 – A day trip to the world famous Plitvice Lakes

Plitvice Lakes can only be described as a paradise – there’s no exaggeration needed! From crystal clear blue seas and rushing waterfalls that belong on a postcard, Plitvice Lakes in Croatia is the ultimate fairytale destination. As one of Croatia’s most popular tourist destinations, Plitvice Lakes National Park is made up of sixteen lakes that are connected by a series of waterfalls and surrounded by picture-perfect woodlands.

We will spend the day at Plitvice Lakes feeling like we are in a movie set. The evening is yours to relax or take a stroll through Split. If you enjoy seafood, there is an amazing Michelin Star Restaurant with incredible views we can recommend (pricey but the memory will last a lifetime)

Day 11 – A day enjoyed on the stunning Brac island

Today we head to Brac for the day! It is another beautiful island, known for its extremely clear sea, olive groves and stunning beaches. We will spend the day here relaxing on
Zlatni rat beach (Golden Horn Beach) which some consider to be the most beautiful beach in Croatia. It is one of the biggest natural attractions of the Adriatic which extends almost half a kilometer into the blue of the sea. The tip of the Golden Horn changes shape in accordance with the will of the waves and the currents of the sea.

Golden Horn in our opinion is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast. We recommend a stroll through a beautiful promenade, it will only take you 15 minutes to get there. Otherwise, take a tourist train and enjoy a ride – it departs every 30 minutes (optional cost).

The 500-meter long straight of pebble perfection is covered with fine stones like a natural work of art. This is also where you can find the Lucky Stone. According to legend, those who find it will enjoy eternal happiness! There is also a small pine grove where you will find remains of a Roman piscina – a monument-water tank approximately 1800 years old. The beach also offers rentals of various sports equipment, a wide selection of food and drinks, and everything else you need to enjoy the sun and the sea for the day.

We will meet in the early evening for the return ferry back to Split. After a quick shower
we will all enjoy our final dinner together. We will laugh, reflect and discuss our new memories as we enjoy a delicious local meal with our new friends.

Day 12 – Time to say goodbye

Unfortunately, this will be your departure day. You will exchange Instagrams, phone numbers, and hugs with your new friends. Your Seek Leader will help you get to Split airport for your flight home.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Is my money protected?

Yes, and you will never lose your money. We also offer 1 free date change before 60 days of your departure date.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course, if you book separately, just let us know you want to share a room. Equally, our adventures are designed as solo trips, so the majority of our travelers will not know each other at the beginning, however we know true friendships will be formed by the end.

Who will I share a room with?

You will more than likely be sharing a room with one or more other Seek adventurers as our accommodation is a mixture of twin, triple or multi-share. The beds will be a mixture of single and double beds and in our experience women are normally happy sharing a double bed. This is so that not only can we keep the cost down for you, but also to provide you with the opportunity of building strong friendships with people that you would not usually cross paths with in your everyday life.

I don’t know anyone else on the group travelling and I am a shy person

We all understand that feeling of being out of your comfort zone and meeting new people for the first time, but don’t forget that everyone you meet on the other side will be in the same position as you. We will add all of our travellers for one trip into a Whatsapp group for you to all ask each other questions and get to know each other before setting off. You will most certainly meet friends for life on your trip because you will all have at least one thing in common… You’re stepping outside your comfort zones and getting out there to see the world!

If we still haven’t answered your question, please fill in the question here (contact us form) or speak to us on the chat button now

Where does the adventure start and finish?

Fly into Dubrovnik and fly out of Split. We will be happy to help you with flights, just message us once you have paid your deposit.

Which currency must I take?

Croatian Krona
We recommend taking a Monzo card, or a similar alternative.

How fit do I need to be?

Whilst we cater our trips for everyone, there is a lot of walking between pubs on the pub crawls. Don’t worry though as walking will be the most exhaustive activity included in this trip, unless you want to count dancing the night away!

What kind of accommodation is included ?

The accommodation will be chosen with the best suitability in mind. Every accommodation will be picked for specific characteristics so please bare this in mind if elements have to be compromised for a better location/facilities etc.

I recently joined Tide and Seek Travel’s Croatia Group Tours For Women tailored especially for those of us 30 and over, and it was a transformative experience. The scenic beauty of Croatia combined with the camaraderie of a women-only group in our age bracket made the journey both relatable and incredibly fulfilling. Every detail, from the destinations chosen to the activities curated, resonated deeply with our unique life perspectives and experiences. Tide and Seek, thank you for recognizing the distinct vibrancy of our age group and for crafting an unforgettable voyage.
